The Pocatello Federal Courthouse is reputedly the first federal courthouse in the United State to contain a private donor art collection. This was achieved through the fund raising efforts of the Pocatello Arts Council and generous donations provided primarily by members of the Idaho Sixth and Seventh District Bar groups. The collection includes paintings by Idaho artists as well as two murals by nationally recognized artists. One mural is a collage of Idaho scenery, and the second mural is a collage of Idaho faces from the pioneer days. There is one famous face in the collage, that of United States Senator, William Borah. You can see photos of some of these works at our online gallery (click here).
