Shakespeare in the Parks

On the evening of Friday, July 28, 2006 the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Company presented "A Winter's Tale" on the ISU quad. This free production was brought to you by the Pocatello Arts Council and ISU Summer Activities. It is the aim of the Arts Council to make this an annual event.

Shakespeare Again

This second Shakespeare in the Parks presentation was "The Merry Wives of Windsor" - presented in the ISU Ballroom at 6:30 p.m. on July 26, 2007. The play was again be presented by the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Company, and was sponsored by the Pocatello Arts Council and ISU Summer Activities. Originally, the event was scheduled to take place on the ISU Quad, but was relocated due to inclement weather.

Shakespeare III

The third annual Shakespeare in the Parks presentation was Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 6:30 on the ISU Quad. The Montana Shakespeare in the Parks Company presented "All's Well That Ends Well". The presentation was sponsored by the Pocatello Arts Council and ISU Summer Activities.

Bison on the Greeway

The Arts Council acquired a metal bison sculpture by Jason Brown which was donated to the Portneuf Greenway Foundation. The sculpture has been installed along the Greenway, on the South Main Extension. The Arts Council continues to work with the Greenway to expand the 'sculpture park'.

Literary Pavers

The Pocatello Arts Council has placed several granite 'Literary Pavers' in the historic Old Town area of Pocatello. This is projected to be an ongoing project. You can find more information in the call to authors or see descriptions and photos of the installed pavers. Deadline for the next round of submissions is December 31, 2008.
