Invitation

The Pocatello Arts Council has funding available to support community enhancing art projects. A limited number of grants are available to support visual, literary, and performance art projects which provide clear benefit to the greater Pocatello area.
Eligibility
Eligibility extends to private not-for-profit agencies as well as to individuals and organized groups of community volunteers (e.g., business district, neighborhood council, community organization). For-profit organizations with an arts mission proposing a unique not-for-profit project designed specifically for public benefit may also apply. The Pocatello Arts Council does not offer grant funding to public/government organizations and entities.
Application
There will be two granting cycles each year. Up to $1000 in total grants will be awarded for each cycle.
- Applications received between October 1 and March 31 will constitute the first granting cycle. These applications will be considered and decided on during the May meeting of the Pocatello Arts Council.
- Applications received between April 1 and September 30 will constitute the second granting cycle. These applications will be considered and decided on during the November meeting of the Pocatello Arts Council.
Please follow these application guidelines:
Interested parties should submit in writing their request for grant funding to the Pocatello Arts Council, c/o the Mayor's Office, 911 N. 7th Ave., Pocatello, ID 83201. Requests should specify the following information.
-
A clear and thorough explanation of the nature of the project.
-
An explanation of the likely benefit to and impact on the Pocatello community. Because our funding is limited, we seek to support projects with good potential to impact large numbers of community members and/or populations that would otherwise be unserved.
-
The dollar amount of the request (not to exceed $1000).
-
A detailed outline of and justification for the project budget including any other targeted or secured sources of funding.
-
Clear indication of whether partial funding of the requested amount is acceptable.
-
A project completion time line.
-
Complete applicant contact information. Include current email, postal address, and phone number. Email will be used for correspondence regarding receipt of grant requests and final funding decisions; therefore, a valid email address is required.
-
Verification of eligibility of requesting individual or organization (see eligibility requirements above).
Please provide thorough information and use headings to distinguish clearly among each point above. Requests that are deemed unclear or incomplete will not be considered.
Grant Recipients
All print materials, promotion, or advertising associated with a grant supported project should clearly acknowledge the contribution of the Pocatello Arts Council. The Pocatello Arts Council logo should be included on print materials. The logo is available online through the following link:

Grant recipients are expected to communicate with the Pocatello Arts Council by letter or email at the culmination of the grant supported project, providing verification (e.g., program copies, written participant responses, digital photos, video clips, web links) of project completion and impact. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from future grant support consideration. |
