Pocatello Arts Council Grants
Small Local Grants
The Pocatello Arts Council announces that it has funding available to support community enhancing art projects. A limited number of grants of up to $1,000 are available to support visual, literary, and performance art projects which provide clear benefit to the greater Pocatello community.
Interested parties should submit in writing their request for grant funding to the Pocatello Arts Council, c/o the Mayor's Office, 911 N. 7th Ave., Pocatello, ID 83201. Requests should specify the following information.
- The dollar amount of the request.
- A thorough explanation of the nature of the project.
- A detailed outline of and justification for the project budget including any other secured sources of funding.
- A project completion time line.
- An explanation of the likely benefit to and impact on the Pocatello community. Because our funding is limited, we seek to support projects with potential to impact large numbers of community members and/or populations that would otherwise be unserved.
- Complete applicant contact information (email, postal address, phone numbers, etc.).
Some things to keep in mind as you prepare your proposal:
- Please provide thorough information and use headings to distinguish clearly among each point above. Requests that are deemed unclear or incomplete will not be considered.
- Because the PAC meets only once a month, submitting requests early is necessary. Though we try to take action as soon as possible, it may take 2-3 months for a grant to be processed (disseminated to the council, scheduled for consideration, discussed, approved/disapproved, etc.) once the request has been received.
- Our ability to provide support depends on available funding. We are more likely to have uncommitted funds earlier in our yearly budget cycle which begins in October.
